Analysis of Relation between Brainwave Activity and Reaction Time of Short-Haul Pilots Based on EEG Data

The purpose of this research is to examine and assess the relation between a pilot’s concentration reaction time with specific brain activity during short-haul flights. Participants took part in one-hour long flight sessions performed on FNPT II class simulator. Subjects were instructed respond unexpected events that occurred flight. brainwaves each participant recorded Emotiv EPOC+ Scientific Contextual EEG device. majority participants showed statistically significant, positive correlation Theta Power frontal lobe response time. Additionally, most subjects exhibited correlations band-power times range for temporal parietal lobes. Statistically significant event-related changes (ERC) observed frequencies, Beta waves all lobes Gamma band. Notably, ERC was also frequencies occipital Lobes, Alpha frontal, participants. A difference patterns observed, depending performance time-restricted tasks.
